Toshimitsu Sasaki , 50 years in age
He has his own design office in Tokyo, Japan and Milan, Italy. Through many years' hard work and shrewd business operation, with his typically oriental style characterized by great skills displayed in morbidezza, introversion and mildness, he has won general recognition from the design circle of Europe.
Mr. Sasaki is very careful in his design thinking, very precise in his design style, accurate in mastering the major trends of furniture design in the world, holds to his principle, and abhors plagiarism and imitation. He has done theme design for hundreds of furniture enterprises since the establishment of his office. After production of his design works, above 90% of the products have a good market. He has won more than a hundred grand prizes in design of Japan and the world, being the only furniture artist getting the financial aid from the Japanese government.
